From the beginning
Founded in 2017 by father-and-daughter team Fraser Macandrew and Nicole Ellwood, Crater Rim Walks is a family-run business passionate about sharing the landscapes, history and hidden gems of Ōtautahi Christchurch and Banks Peninsula.
Fraser and Nicole created Crater Rim Walks to help visitors slow down, connect with nature and experience the region beyond the usual tourist trail. They believe the best experiences combine spectacular scenery, genuine hospitality and stories that connect people to a place.
Their focus on flexibility, personal service and strong local knowledge continues to shape Crater Rim Walks, helping guests discover the unique character of this remarkable region.
